"I wish that I had never bought my motorcycle from Independence HD. If I had it to do over, I would give my money to another dealership. We were treated as if we were a burden to the staff. My motorcycle had fingerprints all over the chrome, fender & gas tank. I would have told them to rewash it, but we had already waited for over 3 hours. No one even had the courtesy to tell us when it was ready. Why did we make an 11:00 a.m. appointment? The kid that told me about the motorcycel didn't know about tire pressure and never mentioned the break in procedure. I was really happy to see the HD survey. There wasn't enough room to write about all of the mistakes made when someone purchases something as expensive and special as their first Harley Davidson. I made the most out of the room that I had. I will never walk into Independence HD again. My family owns 6 HD's and everyone was surprised at the unprofessionalism displayed by Independence.

I am so sorry for our mishandling of your purchase experience at our shop. I am embarrassed and ashamed about the way you were mistreated, and do not blame you whatsoever for not wanting to ever set foot back into our store. I do however, want to thank you for your e-mail because after a complete investigation of how this could have happened to you, we found several "holes" in our procedures.
We are now having the Service Dept. do all walk around deliveries for our bike customers, not the sales staff. If there are any technical questions, it should be answered consistently by the service personnel, not a salesman. They will be responsible for going down a checklist to include bike cleanliness to prevent another bike delivered dirty and fingerprinted. The wait period you had to endure is unacceptable and we are presently increasing our sales staff to shorten and streamline the purchase experience. We are hiring 2 more sales staff and an assistant to help the Finance Dept. and the Sales management.
Again I am very sorry that our shortcomings effected your experience. Thank you for listening.

"my alternater came apart on my 06 dyna .i called your service dept and brought it in. D.B. said about 10 days to order parts and do the repairs.he had the alt.and my clutch spring repaired in 5 days.everybody there was VERY courteous and helpful from the guys that helped unload my bike in the rain to D.B who warrantied my alt. i have been in the auto repair business for 30 years and you have the best service dept.i have seen yet. thanks "

"06-08-06 was a day I had waited for since I was 15 years old and I'm almost fifty . I bought my first Harley, a Road King. I bought it from Independence HD because of two very good reasons. The first reason was the outstanding price, the second was the fact that they made me feel like I was buying from a friend or family member that I could trust. The really surprising thing was, it didn't stop after I bought the bike. I walked in today to buy something for the bike and the young lady called me by name, the samething happend in the service department when I dropped my bike off for the 1000 mile oil change. I'm not dealing with strangers I'm dealing with friends. Friends, who really do care about me and my bike. A big slice of rasin pie for all you guys and gals. "I was first introduced to your dealership during a ride I was on. I was impressed with how helpful and attentive everyone was. Later I needed to get my bike serviced and my local shop was back logged a couple of weeks. I called and talked to DB, he said "come on down" and they would work me in. I did and they did. Everyone in the service department all the way to the mechanic who took me into the back to show me something on my bike were just fantastic. "I would just like to take the time and think IHD for all the help they gave me and my wife when I bought my bike.We had been looking all over central Texas for a Harley and the other shops staff just did not welcome use in as IHD did.Annette Smith was the sales person and she was great.We came in on a Saturday afternoon after looking at another bike at another Harley shop by that night I was driving home my bike.It is true that the staff at IHD is very helpful, keep up the extra effort thats what is going to set you above the others in my book."

The bike has always been service at this site and in the last five month since I purchased the bike I have received nothing but oustanding service from both the service department and sales department.
